Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating condition that affects millions of people worldwide. While traditional therapies such as talk therapy and medication can help manage the symptoms of PTSD, many patients still struggle with its effects. Recent studies have shown promising results in using MDMA-assisted therapy to treat PTSD, and research in this area needs to be further developed.

To contribute to this, we started a charity auction on eBay to support the research of MDMA for PTSD. We are thrilled to announce that we have raised €1500 through selling our recent photoshoot items. Thank you to all who participated and helped support this important cause. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who live with PTSD.

All proceeds from the auction have been donated to makemdmamedicine.nl

Traumatic childhood experiences can develop into post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PTSD is a disorder that causes children to relive traumatic events at unpredictable times. An image, sound, smell, taste or touch triggers the traumatic memory, resulting in overwhelming emotions and feelings of guilt or shame. The consequences of PTSD are great. Out of self-protection for memories of the intense event(s), children flatten their emotions. They start to think more negatively about themselves, become anxious and sleep worse.

Research shows that long-term trauma therapy is often not sufficient for young people with major traumas. They will continue to suffer from their PTSD symptoms for the rest of their lives. The complaints lead to serious psychological suffering, which manifests itself in fears, depression, loneliness or behavioral problems. Young people drop out of school and find it difficult to join friends, associations and sports clubs. Later in life they have problems finding or keeping a job and building relationships.

The charity wants to investigate this new form of therapy in adolescents aged 16 and 17 years. The younger PTSD is resolved, the more suffering can be prevented. Together we can make this possible. Help young people with serious mental health problems live without fear through this groundbreaking therapy.
